What is a pre-authorisation?
A Pre-authorisation is a Temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds have been debited from your account.
How much is a pre-authorisation?
If you wish to book a table with HAMILTONS, we take a pre-authorisation off:
– £5 per head (Daytime booking)
– £10 per head (Evening booking)
Why is the credit card pre-authorised?
When you give us a credit/debit card, the pre-authorisation guarantees us that funds are available to pay for non arrivals.
Can i cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to arrival free of charge, however we respectfully ask people to give us as much notice as possible so we can get the table re-booked.
What should I do about any Allergies and Dietary Requirements?
You should always advise your server of any special dietary requirements, including intolerances and allergies. Where possible, our trained staff will advise you on alternative dishes. However, while we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurants, we CANNOT guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect. Guests with severe allergies are advised to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk.
Can I Smoke at HAMILOTNS?
We have a strictly no smoking policy (including e-cigarettes) throughout HAMILTONS interior space and terrace.
What can I expect on the menu?
Dishes specified on the sample menus on our website may not be available on the day of your visit, but are displayed to give people a feel for the pricing and food types.
What if I am running late?
Please call us on 01943 830500 if you are not going to arrive before the time your table is booked, and we will try our hardest to reallocate a time slot to you.
Should you not arrive within 15 minutes after your booking time, the table will be released (without compensation) and will be subject to our cancellation charge.
We cannot guarantee that your table will still be available, however we will endeavour, if at all possible, to allocate a later seating for you.
What is access like?
Please refer to our access statement which can be found on our website footer. (We are delighted that we can provide disabled access to HAMILTONS being one of the only places in the local area to do so)
